Established in 1975, Stanta Mauser (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (SMM), formerly known as Stanta Metal Drum Sdn Bhd; has the distinct advantage of being the sole Malaysian owned manufacturer of steel drums in the country. SMM is committed to offering clients the finest products with strong emphasis on quality and service. The driving force of SMM is the founder and also the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.), Dato' Sri Dr. Tan Cheng Chai, S.S.A.P., A.M.N. (Peringkat Pertama Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang, Ahli Mangku Negara) who possessed the foresight in tapping the full potential of manufacturing quality steel drums. His pioneering spirit, determination and vision had today established a strong presence and firm market leadership, elevating SMM's status to become a premium steel drum manufacturer in the country and beyond.

Having started off as a single steel drum manufacturing with less than 30 employees, Dato' Sri Dr. Tan Cheng Chai has successfully steered SMM to greater heights. Today SMM has three state-of-art drum manufacturer lines situated strategically within the country with about 200 employees and production capacity of 8,000 drums per day. This is reflected by recognition awarded to SMM for complying with all the international requirements. SMM meets the United Nations MS 1513 (UN Marking) standards in every respect. Besides the QAS ISO 9001:2015 certification being a testament to the Company's on-going strives for excellence, SMM has been awarded with the QAS ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System in August 2019. SMM thoroughly understands customer's needs thus enabling the Company to meet every exacting need accurately. With more than 40 years experience, SMM delivers high quality products on schedule.

From the selection of raw materials to the finished coating, only the most well integrated components are utilised to create a product of excellent quality. With a capacity to produce 8,000 drums a day at its three steel drum manufacturing lines, SMM is able to meet all its customers' needs efficiently and on time.

The company's range of products conform to the stringent United Nations (UN) certification guidelines for hazardous liquid and solids packaging that covers specifications comprising drum wall thickness, liner types and weld. The production is a critical component of the entire process but equally important is the delivery of the products on time to its customers. SMM has invested in a fleet of trucks in order to deliver products on schedule resulting in unmatched a delivery system that is second to none.
